Gemini Sports Analytics is on a mission to make it easier for sports teams to make data-driven decisions. GSA’s first of its kind AI Cloud-powered web application allows users to build Automated Machine Learning projects from A-Z without writing a line of computer code. We help our partners enhance their systems and processes around athlete acquisition, development, tactics, and performance by rapidly increasing the availability of predictive insights to help with their decision-making processes.

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Business Development Manager to join our team to help us drive our next phase of growth in the UK/European Region.

Location: UK/Europe

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities by prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals with new and existing clients

  • Work with Gemini’s leadership team to build a go-to-market strategy and plan for the European Region

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to provide white glove customer service and account management, and identify opportunities for upsell and cross-sell

  • Attend industry events and conferences in the region and conduct presentations to promote the Gemini brand

  • Be the voice of the customer to our product team, contribute feedback, and present information so we can keep building awesome products that help our customers

  • Sales Hygiene – maintaining our CRM, and providing reports for Gemini’s leadership team on territory revenue forecast and pipeline.

About You:

  • Content with constant change in an agile environment, driving your own initiatives, and being part of a small team where everyone wears multiple hats to ‘get the job done’ for our customers. We are a fast, chaotic, fun start-up where certain types of people will thrive

  • 3+ years of experience in business development or sales in the sports technology/data industry OR 3+ years of experience in an elite sporting team in a contract negotiation role (Director of Football, Director of Recruitment, Assistant Sporting Director, Player Agent, etc).

  • Deep understanding of sports (especially football/soccer), comfortable speaking to coaches, analysts, performance and medical staff, etc

  • Have a passion for innovation and are excited about the opportunities that AI will bring to our customers

  • Outstanding verbal and written communicator; clear, concise, and empathetic

  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time

  • Are authorized to work in Europe without sponsorship
