Gemini Sports Analytics is on a mission to make it easier for team executives to make data-driven decisions. GSA’s first of it’s kind AI Cloud-powered web application allows users to build Automated Machine Learning projects from A-Z without writing a line of computer code. Partners enhancing their systems and processes around athlete acquisition, development, tactics, and performance use Gemini’s application tool for productivity and accessibility of insights.
GSA Research Engineers provide an exceptional level of technical and domain support to our sporting organization partners, and we are now hiring with a focus on NCAA & NFL Football. This individual is passionate about drawing actionable insights from data, is service-oriented, and loves solving a broad range of data problems. This role will contribute to meaningful, effective, and performant data solutions for both platform and customers.
Location: Remote
Position: Possibility for both full-time or part-time roles.

Essential Duties:

Build scaleable, efficient, and fast data pipelines and machine-learning models

Be the technical expert next to GSA sales team in qualifying and closing new partnerships

Onboarding new partners from signature through renewal, as main POC on implementation

Advising on technical issues, working with Product and Engineering on solutions

Create and document outstanding customer success, constantly striving for improvement

Communicate with key internal & external stakeholders; be the voice of the customer

Stay informed of football industry trends and solutions to inform product development
About You:

Content with constant change in an agile environment, driving your own initiatives, and being part of a small team where everyone wears multiple hats to ‘get the job done’ for our customers. We are a fast, chaotic, fun start-up where certain types of people will thrive

Football data guru with a passion for the game and experience working with relevant data types (i.e Sports Info Solutions, Pro Football Focus, NGS, XOS, etc) including relational structures, OLTP systems, and dimensional data models

5+ years of experience in data and/or software engineering or related field

Expert at data exploration, debugging, and access

Able to deeply understand and translate customer visions and requirements into technical specifications to appropriately drive Gemini platform development

Outstanding verbal and written communicator; clear, concise, and empathetic

Have a passion for innovation and are excited about the opportunities that AI will bring to our customers

Are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Databricks and Apache Spark

Experience with Snowflake or other cloud database systems

Expertise in developing dashboards and reports on sports data

Experience working in an NFL or NCAA Football Program

Experience with Cloud Infrastructure services (i.e., AWS, S3, and GitHub)

Experience with RestAPI integrations
